...Oops, I forgot to say, I didn't come anywhere in those challenges, but at least I bucked up enough courage to enter them and looking forward to entering some more in the future.

Hello...again :-s
Sorry it's been so long again, but we've all been busy and plagued with illnesses, the latest being sickness and diarrhoea, which we are still recovering from. Hey ho, onwards and -slowly - upwards.
I've had an order for two wedding exploding box cards, one needed for collection on Wednesday and one needed for the weekend, both the same design (one I've successfully made previously) just different colours and written details. So I cut out the basic card shapes today - during the brief time Sophie was able to relax enough to sleep - and will be putting the first one together tomorrow, piccies to follow.

Challenge!
No crafting today, have been struggling all day with allergies after cleaning the house. But I have been browsing the web tonight and reading blogs and decided to enter one of my cards into a challenge. I keep seeing these challenges and think 'Ooh what a good idea', so thought it was about time I entered some.
I've entered Fab n Funky Challenge #135 Use Leaves somewhere entry number 25 and Moving Along with the Times Shape up with anything but square entry number 104.

Tot's Tuesdays
Started work on a new boys card design today. Little boys love trains, or all the ones I've met do. So I've started working on a double fold train card on SCAL. Looking forward to finishing this on the next TT.
Masculine Mondays
Yesterday's makings ran over into today due to a certain little person's poorly teeth. I was searching for some masculine inspiration on-line and came across something similar, so decided to have a go. Here's the result, I'm so pleased with this one. It will definitely be one for the website.

Tots Tuesday
I took advantage of Sophie's long sleep this morning to make a card for a certain young danish boy's birthday.
Thanks to Birds Cards, I found a very suitable svg file. Here's a clue; all the bits cut ready to construct my card.

I'll post the card on the next Tots Tuesday post, after the birthday has passed.

Organising!
Well, I'm not crafting today. Instead I'm having an organising and planning day. If you look on the right hand side now, you'll find a list of Frequent Themes for you to browse if, for instance, you're only interested in cards with flowers, or cards with hearts...you get the drift.
I've also decided to plan my days a bit better. Rather than just sitting at my craft table and waiting for inspiration, my week will now consist of Masculine Mondays, Tots Tuesdays, Women's Wednesdays, Themed Thursdays and Free-for-All Fridays. I'm planning to have weekends off, but if I can't keep away because inspiration is flowing, then there will be a Weekend Wonders Post!

I'm still here...
Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Life has overtaken us once again. We've all been ill again - within one week, Wayne was rushed into hospital with suspected Viral Meningitis (thank god it wasn't), I had another bout of Gastritis and Sophie caught Chicken Pox. With that, Sophie's teething, crawling / exploring, I've not had too much time to craft, but am now back en route again.

Back to basics...
Well, I feel like my right arm's been cut off. I (stupidly) left my cricut at Mum-in-Laws last weekend and have cards to make! So I've had to go back to my pre-machine craft life - colouring in, hand cutting, etc! The one card I need immediately has been finished and I am pleased with - will post on here at the weekend after the recipient has had it! The others can wait, I was just trying to be a bit more organised than I normally am!
So I'm spending my days designing and sorting out papers for projects, in readiness for when I get my machine back to start producing in earnest, ready for the sale at Little Mouselings next month.

January - April 2012 makings...
Sophies invites for her baby naming...
Birthday Cards...
Birthday Cards...
A birthday present...
A keepsake for Sophie's Guardians...
I'm still here!!!
So it's been 4 months since I posted last. No excuses really, things that have happened happen to normal families - winter colds, mainly - and then there are the other things which don't happen every day - scarlet fever, Sophies Baby naming (and all the preparation), birthdays, Sophies first night away, moving her into the nursery.....the list goes on. The good news is that we are still here and everything is going really well. Sophie is now sitting up on her own and starting to move around. I really don't think it will be long until she is crawling. She is certainly giving me a run for my money at the moment and it will only get worse when she is fully crawling. So I've decided to put the last 4 months makings into a picture sequence for you to browse.
I will post again soon...that's a promise x

Sophies Save the Date
So I've finally finished designing Sophie's Save the Date Cards for her naming ceremony in April 2012. I'm now just making up all the components to complete the 50 cards that we need to send out. Found it really frustrating trying to produce a pretty girly card which was easy to reproduce because of the number we need, something which I can follow the theme through onto the invites when I do them. So am going to go with a flower and butterfly theme.
Background Paper - http://www.printableheaven.com/index.php
Butterfly - Xcut Dimensions Punch Butterfly
Gems - Anita's Gemstone Wheel

To start new things, one must have a clear desk...
and mine definitely wasn't! My office/craft space was a tip, parts of projects everywhere, craft papers all over the place and not filed away because I couldn't be bothered, and numerous projects I've taken away with me to do still in bags since coming home from god-knows-where.
So I've just spent the last 2 hours blitzing the place. everywhere is tidy, I just have a few more papers to file away and then I can start crafting in earnest tomorrow! First on the agenda, Save the Date Cards for Sophie's Baby Naming Ceremony in April.

Welcome
So here is my first ever blog. It's taken me ages to design it so that I'm happy with it - it would appear it's not just my craft mojo that's done a bunk, but my design inspiration too. Probably something to do with this little lady:
Sophie May was born on the 14th October 2011 to a very ecstatic Mummy and Daddy. She was 1 week old in this photo but is now 6 weeks old today. She is changing every day and I'm loving it. We now have plenty of gurgles and laughs and little noises where she is trying to find her voice.
Needless to say my craft aspirations have had to take a back step, but I really want to get on with it again now. This blog is just the start. I'm going to start up the website again so that I can hopefully start selling some of my wares, which is what I really want to do. I have obviously missed the Christmas market but I still have Christmas Cards to make for friends and family, then I'm going to concentrate on Valentines. I've 'borrowed' an idea from a fellow mumsnetter of setting a timer for 15 minutes every day where I need to do craft. I'm in the middle of tidying up my desk/craft space, so I can get on with it. Sophie will join me in the office in her moses basket while I'm crafting.
Well that's all for today, until tomorrow
