<br />
Just thought I would share today's make. This is my noteblock box. It has a sliding drawer which containers a note block and the top is easel style. Normally I would decorate these with layered backing papers, may be a stamped image or sentiment and some embellishments.<br />
<br />
Today I decided to go for something completely different.<br />
<br />
A while ago now, I bought some distress inks and pads. Not many, just a few to get me going. Then I hesitated. Having seen such beautiful examples on the net, it put me off even trying. I then had to convince myself to try, that everyone has to start somewhere. And so we come to today. I dug them out of the depths of my craft cupboard and tried....and this is what I came up with...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r2KOUpiHgaM/VfHmdRmAgaI/AAAAAAAAA7A/f-4BWMhhv-Q/s1600/IMG_2194.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-r2KOUpiHgaM/VfHmdRmAgaI/AAAAAAAAA7A/f-4BWMhhv-Q/s320/IMG_2194.JPG" width="289" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e2nyB7_2DUM/VfHmdaVzFpI/AAAAAAAAA7U/dYADmFE_mPE/s1600/IMG_2195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e2nyB7_2DUM/VfHmdaVzFpI/AAAAAAAAA7U/dYADmFE_mPE/s320/IMG_2195.JPG" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZAbyhNNWoa8/VfHme7hkAHI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/btSlD9ZctzQ/s1600/IMG_2196.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZAbyhNNWoa8/VfHme7hkAHI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/btSlD9ZctzQ/s320/IMG_2196.JPG" width="250" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This was my first time distressing, so I was very pleased with the result and won't hesitate to use this technique again soon. This box will be for sale alongside other items on my stall at the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/kingswaycraftmarket?fref=ts" target="_blank">Kingsway Craft Market</a> on the 27th September.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

Thanks for dropping by. Catch up again soon.</div>

<br />
Something I've been meaning to do for a while is a demonstration of my papercrafts. I was asked to do one at my WI (The Beacon WI <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Beacon-WI/434415990070378?fref=ts">https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Beacon-WI/434415990070378?fref=ts</a> ) and after much deliberation about what to do that would suit all abilities, especially beginners, I decided to go with a swivel box card.<br />
<br />
So my demonstration was at last night's meeting. I talked about how I started out in crafting, the tools I use, where I shop for supplies, techniques and then we made this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sEdVm6kW4Jg/Vec0Gmwc_qI/AAAAAAAAA6g/B_duRUsAPeY/s1600/Papercrafts%2Bdemo%2Bproject.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sEdVm6kW4Jg/Vec0Gmwc_qI/AAAAAAAAA6g/B_duRUsAPeY/s320/Papercrafts%2Bdemo%2Bproject.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Everyone really enjoyed it. It was quite nerve-wracking as it was my first ever demonstration. But I am so passionate about what I do and demonstrating to a group of friends certainly helped. I really enjoyed myself and looking forward to doing more in the future.<br />
<br />

<br />
Working hard on lots of projects at the moment. Finishing off some wedding bits for a Wedding next month, making cards for another customer and preparing for various upcoming events I am attending. Busy Busy!<br />
<br />
However today has been a slow crafting day, spent pondering over fond memories of my feline friend Mozart, who sadly passed away last night. She was a great friend, comfort and companion for the last 16 years, to me and to my Dad, who she has lived with for the 8 years or so.<br />
<br />
It is a privilege to remember her through my Business name, an amalgamation of her name and mine.<br />

<br />
I keep starting my last few posts with an apology for the lack of posting...this one will be slightly different. <br />
<br />
Yes I am sorry I haven't been posting. I completely lost my crafting mojo earlier in the year, struggled for ideas and inspiration, wondering how to carry on and where I wanted to be and what I wanted to achieve. So after a lot of thought and soul searching, I've come to the realisation that I can't give up, I love my crafting too much. So now, I am on my Crafting Journey again. My challenge is to make something new every day, re-build my website and get my business really going.<br />
<br />
Here's a recent make - beaded bookmarks - to wet your appetite for things to come.<br />
<br />

<br />
Finally recovered from my first Wedding Fair on Sunday!<br />
<br />
I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at Chipping Sodbury Wedding Fair. Talking to couples and families for 4 hours about their upcoming weddings, stationery requirements and ideas really gave me a real buzz and thirst to do this again. I had so many good comments about my stationery - as a crafter you make a lot of products and sometimes never know if you are making quality saleable items - which was very reassuring that you are doing the right thing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O5kMd1Al884/VPYyUUBDFnI/AAAAAAAAA24/7-beVcASrzk/s1600/chipping%2Bsodbury%2Bstand.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O5kMd1Al884/VPYyUUBDFnI/AAAAAAAAA24/7-beVcASrzk/s1600/chipping%2Bsodbury%2Bstand.jpg" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Meeting up with one of the couples I met there tomorrow morning, to discuss in more depth their stationery requirements and hopefully finalise an order with them.<br />
<br />
I also had a business to business enquiry for guest books, which was fab!<br />
<br />
So happy right now...more incentive to really make my craft business successful<br />
<br />

<br />
Blink and we're already mid February. I seem to have lost about 6 weeks! What with issues with Hubby's work; Elliot finding his crawl - and more recently his feet - ; more than our fair share of illnesses and a badly damaged finger on my left hand (I'm left handed), its no wonder really!<br />
<br />
Some of the projects completed over the last few weeks...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RNAabNh-tDM/VN0e0kMG1gI/AAAAAAAAA18/qsR1mgPU5LE/s1600/IMG_1541.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RNAabNh-tDM/VN0e0kMG1gI/AAAAAAAAA18/qsR1mgPU5LE/s1600/IMG_1541.JPG" height="308" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
<br />
On the plus side, I've got a new craft cutting machine. Its a Zing. I've been wanting one of these for a while ever since my Cricut started playing up. I'm currently on a steep learning curve with it, but happy with the few projects I've produced so far.<br />
<br />
Feeling refreshed and determined to get on with my craft again now, especially with some exciting news looming. I won't spoil the surprise but will hopefully have something to share with you all tomorrow.<br />

<br />
Lots of people on Facebook have asked me how I made this, so here's the tutorial.<br />
<br />
You will need:<br />
Green Card<br />
A way of cutting wavy circles - a long way round I know (you may find an easier way) but I used the EK Circle Cutting Tool, the WRMK circle cutter and wavy scissors<br />
Black Foam Pads (I used 2mm depth ones)<br />
A star to go on the top (I used one from a confetti pack)<br />
Glue<br />
Embellishments to decorate your tree with (I used 2mm Gold Adhesive flat backed crystals)<br />
Glitter<br />
<br />
Step 1. Cutting your circles<br />
I went the long way about doing this but it works for me. When I get a cutting machine again it will be much easier and quicker. I cut circles of card every 16th from 3" to 1" using the EK tool. From 1" to about 4/16th, I cut 4 circles using the WRMK tool. For those of you who aren't au fait with inches. it's every mark on the inch ruler<br />
<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vCj9TVQfZFE/VGMV5n-gyPI/AAAAAAAAAt4/mc_i--M1qLk/s1600/IMG_1145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vCj9TVQfZFE/VGMV5n-gyPI/AAAAAAAAAt4/mc_i--M1qLk/s320/IMG_1145.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is what you end up with:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-86m9iFBuxbQ/VGMV6cj4UAI/AAAAAAAAAt8/Q9yX4Vh69_g/s1600/IMG_1146.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-86m9iFBuxbQ/VGMV6cj4UAI/AAAAAAAAAt8/Q9yX4Vh69_g/s320/IMG_1146.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Then using my wavy scissors, I cut inside each circle, making sure the top of the wave cut just inside the edge of each circle.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CLB_VNSaHtw/VGMV7IP8Z4I/AAAAAAAAAuI/AS_2DZEIemg/s1600/IMG_1155.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CLB_VNSaHtw/VGMV7IP8Z4I/AAAAAAAAAuI/AS_2DZEIemg/s320/IMG_1155.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-il5AIWMKf3k/VGMV8nIE-uI/AAAAAAAAAuQ/qwCcK_D1IRU/s1600/IMG_1157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-il5AIWMKf3k/VGMV8nIE-uI/AAAAAAAAAuQ/qwCcK_D1IRU/s320/IMG_1157.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="left">
They end up looking like this...</div>
<div align="left">
</div>
<div align="left">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v0QPCqo5YkY/VGMV9qxLhfI/AAAAAAAAAuY/CxT3tR8iEw0/s1600/IMG_1158.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v0QPCqo5YkY/VGMV9qxLhfI/AAAAAAAAAuY/CxT3tR8iEw0/s320/IMG_1158.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They're not design to be perfect. You will end up with points along the way, where you've start and stop cutting the waves with your scissors.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zr2RKcpAOaA/VGMV-rJ9zsI/AAAAAAAAAug/cU_CMclNkbE/s1600/IMG_1160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zr2RKcpAOaA/VGMV-rJ9zsI/AAAAAAAAAug/cU_CMclNkbE/s320/IMG_1160.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the smaller circles they will look very odd and misshapen, but it doesn't matter, trees aren't perfectly symmetrical. I think it adds to the effect.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t2ovCgAnS4s/VGMV_QfA0dI/AAAAAAAAAuo/JAJmbkQDIVE/s1600/IMG_1161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t2ovCgAnS4s/VGMV_QfA0dI/AAAAAAAAAuo/JAJmbkQDIVE/s320/IMG_1161.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Step 2: Adding Pads and Layering<br />
Start adding your pads. I used 5 on the larger circles, then went to 4,3,2,1 and pads cut in half for the very small ones. Do one at a time, then add your next layer...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4wMVkwSJGIw/VGMWAH7Js7I/AAAAAAAAAuw/y9nnXHGCq_o/s1600/IMG_1162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4wMVkwSJGIw/VGMWAH7Js7I/AAAAAAAAAuw/y9nnXHGCq_o/s320/IMG_1162.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When you add your next layer, make sure the waves show between the waves of the previous layer. This becomes more difficult as the layers get smaller and more misshapen. You also need to make sure you are placing your layers as centrally on the previous layer as possible.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jEsVvH1qtNM/VGMYAELwlHI/AAAAAAAAAu8/_R1OMReiLf8/s1600/IMG_1163.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jEsVvH1qtNM/VGMYAELwlHI/AAAAAAAAAu8/_R1OMReiLf8/s320/IMG_1163.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kUNUl3TKFTA/VGMYCxmeO5I/AAAAAAAAAvI/uS5RwSg9EvM/s1600/IMG_1164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kUNUl3TKFTA/VGMYCxmeO5I/AAAAAAAAAvI/uS5RwSg9EvM/s320/IMG_1164.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Keep padding and layering....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-czZlW9bqXd0/VGMYCYz7asI/AAAAAAAAAvE/1KFVKTvR_tY/s1600/IMG_1165.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-czZlW9bqXd0/VGMYCYz7asI/AAAAAAAAAvE/1KFVKTvR_tY/s320/IMG_1165.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3mVSCZlAcA8/VGMYDVgNZsI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/LJzW3a2570Y/s1600/IMG_1166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3mVSCZlAcA8/VGMYDVgNZsI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/LJzW3a2570Y/s320/IMG_1166.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
and layering!...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y6daUm7UJX0/VGMYGms2FtI/AAAAAAAAAvg/bmZvgr_L2gg/s1600/IMG_1167.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y6daUm7UJX0/VGMYGms2FtI/AAAAAAAAAvg/bmZvgr_L2gg/s320/IMG_1167.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dXhEI2sNIeY/VGMYGZ0H6sI/AAAAAAAAAvc/gnICxhpljpI/s1600/IMG_1168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dXhEI2sNIeY/VGMYGZ0H6sI/AAAAAAAAAvc/gnICxhpljpI/s320/IMG_1168.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
STOP when you have 2 layers left to do. If you are adding a star you need to do this now. If you are doing a plain tree, you can continue adding the last 2 layers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KuQD4mYGCCU/VGMYJn3jkYI/AAAAAAAAAv8/fUKy_93eEm8/s1600/IMG_1172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KuQD4mYGCCU/VGMYJn3jkYI/AAAAAAAAAv8/fUKy_93eEm8/s320/IMG_1172.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Step 3: Attaching your star.<br />
Make a small hole in the middle of your star.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WPqTS4coPd8/VGMYLntQXJI/AAAAAAAAAwM/9zfhy0Ugvlk/s1600/IMG_1173.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WPqTS4coPd8/VGMYLntQXJI/AAAAAAAAAwM/9zfhy0Ugvlk/s320/IMG_1173.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Thread your wire through the hole. bring it back together in one of the spaces between the star's points and twist together so you end up with one wired end...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t94bs6i_8p8/VGMYOgfQ3DI/AAAAAAAAAwc/f1DPetr1N-w/s1600/IMG_1176.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t94bs6i_8p8/VGMYOgfQ3DI/AAAAAAAAAwc/f1DPetr1N-w/s320/IMG_1176.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NQcGwU_sMCI/VGMYRfBIN5I/AAAAAAAAAww/KZO4ApHkVf0/s1600/IMG_1178.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NQcGwU_sMCI/VGMYRfBIN5I/AAAAAAAAAww/KZO4ApHkVf0/s320/IMG_1178.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KJ1V40lafxM/VGMYUUltzgI/AAAAAAAAAxI/mfcnmvOsJAU/s1600/IMG_1180.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KJ1V40lafxM/VGMYUUltzgI/AAAAAAAAAxI/mfcnmvOsJAU/s320/IMG_1180.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Cover your star in glue on both sides and coat with glitter. This will hide the wire.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dHj1wn5JEBU/VGMYUGlyM0I/AAAAAAAAAxE/IgtrIXAIzXk/s1600/IMG_1181.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dHj1wn5JEBU/VGMYUGlyM0I/AAAAAAAAAxE/IgtrIXAIzXk/s320/IMG_1181.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hOirf5YBByc/VGMYXhM-LeI/AAAAAAAAAxk/z1ForKlbf9o/s1600/IMG_1184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hOirf5YBByc/VGMYXhM-LeI/AAAAAAAAAxk/z1ForKlbf9o/s320/IMG_1184.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you've used the same cutting tools as me your smaller layers will already have a small hole in the middle, left from the WRMK tool. If not you need to make a small hole with a pin or something similar in both of the top remaining layers. Select the smallest layer - the top one - and push your wire through top to bottom...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hpzYgAfc4qU/VGMYZ1xnbzI/AAAAAAAAAx0/PAKvEjtspg8/s1600/IMG_1186.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hpzYgAfc4qU/VGMYZ1xnbzI/AAAAAAAAAx0/PAKvEjtspg8/s320/IMG_1186.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Add pads to the underneath of this layer. As its so small I ended up cutting a pad in half. Remove the backing paper from the pads ready to stick...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h6npqx_NPfk/VGMYa8OJaUI/AAAAAAAAAx8/54cGafX8cKw/s1600/IMG_1187.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h6npqx_NPfk/VGMYa8OJaUI/AAAAAAAAAx8/54cGafX8cKw/s320/IMG_1187.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Select the 2nd layer - the only one left now - and poke your wire through this one top to bottom. Push these 2 layers together so the pads stick.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Eqoh-zOJPK0/VGMYdnjS93I/AAAAAAAAAyM/Dwh_vEShFPk/s1600/IMG_1189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Eqoh-zOJPK0/VGMYdnjS93I/AAAAAAAAAyM/Dwh_vEShFPk/s320/IMG_1189.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Add pads to the bottom of the second layer, ideally a half either side of the wire...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AIXXhSQS4fs/VGMYe5DILTI/AAAAAAAAAyY/b7SFy4VxrwA/s1600/IMG_1190.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AIXXhSQS4fs/VGMYe5DILTI/AAAAAAAAAyY/b7SFy4VxrwA/s320/IMG_1190.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Wind your wire around the pads and neatly tuck the end in between the two to keep it out of site...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QGXhSYylNbU/VGMYewHGklI/AAAAAAAAAyU/2qiujhkbfso/s1600/IMG_1191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QGXhSYylNbU/VGMYewHGklI/AAAAAAAAAyU/2qiujhkbfso/s320/IMG_1191.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3crp1aU_D6c/VGMYhL4xOPI/AAAAAAAAAyk/2XItdBuTH2I/s1600/IMG_1192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3crp1aU_D6c/VGMYhL4xOPI/AAAAAAAAAyk/2XItdBuTH2I/s320/IMG_1192.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
Remove the backing from the pads and add to the top of your tree...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q0TZGfc3uG0/VGMYi2oz3vI/AAAAAAAAAys/Ibn-vgHs97g/s1600/IMG_1193.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q0TZGfc3uG0/VGMYi2oz3vI/AAAAAAAAAys/Ibn-vgHs97g/s320/IMG_1193.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
For the branch decoration, you can add as much or as little as you like. I chose to just add gold adhesive crystals. I marked with a pencil where I wanted them so I got an even distribution.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0Y30JupkAZg/VGCMloIUcyI/AAAAAAAAAtc/rwoT76YOmAM/s1600/Gold%2BChristmas%2BTree.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0Y30JupkAZg/VGCMloIUcyI/AAAAAAAAAtc/rwoT76YOmAM/s320/Gold%2BChristmas%2BTree.JPG" width="177" /></a></div>

<br />
I can't believe so long has passed since I last posted....and yet in other ways I can. I have taken on the voluntary role of Fundraiser for Playgroup which is keeping me more than busy. Hubby has been off work with work related stress and continuing symptoms of his Post Concussion Syndrome and Elliot has started to -well I can't call it crawling - swivel, shimmy, roll to get around. So with this and the ever active Sophie, finding time to craft has been difficult, almost impossible. For a while, I had no inspiration whatsoever, not even any ideas swimming round in my head, but with the constant nag that Christmas is on the way and a few personalised requests, I made myself sit down and start.<br />
<br />
Here are my recent personalised makes:<br />
<br />
Unlike the ones I have seen online which are just prints, I wanted to try this in a box frame with raised letters on some words and flat words on others to give it some depth. Quite pleased with the final result, although it was hard work cutting out all the letters by hand and will be much easier when I have a cutting machine again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cKygwPAFPgU/VGCKtuN4y0I/AAAAAAAAAtE/1sgks6JZHfg/s1600/Word%2BHeart.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cKygwPAFPgU/VGCKtuN4y0I/AAAAAAAAAtE/1sgks6JZHfg/s1600/Word%2BHeart.JPG" height="320" width="301" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was asked to make a personalised christening card. I have a Sizzix Texture Boutique which is giving me lots of food for thought at the mo and I love using it. I'm getting into embossing a lot more recently. I also have some really nice punches that I don't use enough. When I was making all the components for this card, I thought it might look too much altogether, but actually I am really pleased with the finished result.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fS3ZCBLRZVA/VGCLQ8Ck23I/AAAAAAAAAtM/X49GAMDruhM/s1600/Christening%2BCard.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fS3ZCBLRZVA/VGCLQ8Ck23I/AAAAAAAAAtM/X49GAMDruhM/s1600/Christening%2BCard.JPG" height="320" width="244" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<br />
My final recent make was just yesterday and it's had a great response on Facebook. I've had this idea for a 3d Christmas Tree going round in my head for over a year now. I did have a cutting template for something similar but can't use it as my machines broke. So I needed to go back to basics to achieve a similar effect. Here it is....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0Y30JupkAZg/VGCMloIUcyI/AAAAAAAAAtY/VyZuWGFCjM0/s1600/Gold%2BChristmas%2BTree.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0Y30JupkAZg/VGCMloIUcyI/AAAAAAAAAtY/VyZuWGFCjM0/s1600/Gold%2BChristmas%2BTree.JPG" height="320" width="177" /></a></div>
<br />
Really pleased with this. It took ages, but now I know what I'm doing, the next few shouldn't take as long, I've been asked to do a tutorial on this, which will appear on here in the next few days.<br />
<br />
That's all for now. My mojo's definitely back, must get on!<br />
<br />

<br />
So for about a year now I knew I would have to give up my craft room for our imminent baby boy (who is now 7 1/2 months) and move somewhere else in the house, no doubt smaller. The challenge was finding somewhere that was suitable for me that would give me some working space, storage and easy access to the kiddies and easy access to me for them (Does that make sense?)<br />
<br />
So we ripped out a pointless coat cupboard in the hallway and my very kind hubby put in a desk for me. In the last few days, I've put up shelving in the adjacent cupboard and made 2 drawers for my inks and stamps and here we are.<br />
<br />
Dadaaa!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jV_Jw7k6JVw/VASCmL765GI/AAAAAAAAAr8/0XcHDzayh_E/s1600/craft%2Bdesk.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jV_Jw7k6JVw/VASCmL765GI/AAAAAAAAAr8/0XcHDzayh_E/s1600/craft%2Bdesk.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ezz3LXNi2nU/VASCsiwTaRI/AAAAAAAAAsE/qGWuyipcjrw/s1600/craft%2Bcupboard.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ezz3LXNi2nU/VASCsiwTaRI/AAAAAAAAAsE/qGWuyipcjrw/s1600/craft%2Bcupboard.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I still have a bookcase upstairs in the office for things I don't use all the time, extra storage and storage for stock, but this is my main home now. I've just got 2 more units to make, one to hold all my ribbons and one to hold my machines (cutter, embosser and foiler).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finally finished tidying it all today and getting everything away. Still more to do upstairs but happy with this area now. </div>

What do you think? :-)</div>

<br />
I know I've been a bit quiet since the website launch at the beginning of the month... been busy! Besides taking a weeks holiday with the kiddies in Wales and being ill for a week, I've been making bits for orders and thinking about my Christmas Collection.<br />
<br />
Here are two of the orders I've made this month, an order for 85 place cards for a wedding where they'd been let down at the last minute...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ObU--s5-Do/U_7kDpe8_YI/AAAAAAAAArc/jhWWa0LOOPo/s1600/place%2Bcard.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ObU--s5-Do/U_7kDpe8_YI/AAAAAAAAArc/jhWWa0LOOPo/s1600/place%2Bcard.JPG" height="204" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dDMlSAtrONs/U_7kFDZP7KI/AAAAAAAAArk/Da4SZ5RwWvo/s1600/Place%2Bcards.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dDMlSAtrONs/U_7kFDZP7KI/AAAAAAAAArk/Da4SZ5RwWvo/s1600/Place%2Bcards.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
and a jewellery order...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--6UHjJxVJ0w/U_7kRQvZzbI/AAAAAAAAArs/WPvWQS3It8k/s1600/jewellery.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--6UHjJxVJ0w/U_7kRQvZzbI/AAAAAAAAArs/WPvWQS3It8k/s1600/jewellery.JPG" height="320" width="215" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now, I'm thinking about my Christmas Stock. Yes I know it's still August, but a lot of other companies are launching theirs now and I am already receiving enquiries about Christmas items, so I'm starting now so I don't have such a manic rush!</div>

<br />
Well it's finally live! After aiming for Friday night, it just didn't happen, so many things wouldn't work. I guess that's what you get for being a website building virgin, not really understanding what I was doing and struggling with the extra steep learning curve.<br /><br />Now, I feel such a sense of achievement. I know there's a long way to go, but my internet presence is live :-)<br />
<br />
Now I'm on a craft tidy up and sort out session, to sit down and starting some making again.<br />
<br />

This has been a very long time in the making.<br />No pics today, just wanted to get that off my chest!<br />

Focused and ready to go today. Tutorial, finish an order, upload the first Facebook posting for the 30 Day Countdown, spend time with the kiddies and do bits around the house. Grand day ahead, I'm so excited about the 30 Day Countdown!!!<br />
<br />
So first, a tutorial on how I made my paper roses from yesterday. I've never done a tutorial before so I hope this is ok. I decided not to do a video one as I always end up start/stopping the ones I watch to catch up on every step. I decided to do mine as a step by step with photo and instructions.<br />
<br />
One thing to remember is that nature isn't perfect, so why should handmade flowers be either? If one petal is slightly wonky, it really doesn't matter, I think they look great anyway.<br />
<br />
So here we go...<br />
<br />
1. Cut 4 circles from your chosen paper. Remember whatever size you do them, the rose will end up slightly smaller all around because of the curling. I've done mine at 2" diameter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lRahOhPSa7s/U7O58ctuYMI/AAAAAAAAAeg/YoWAcWtRwUg/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lRahOhPSa7s/U7O58ctuYMI/AAAAAAAAAeg/YoWAcWtRwUg/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
2. Take one of the circles, fold it in half.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UT3lu6OiYdk/U7O6htVBlNI/AAAAAAAAAe8/ZHlXrT48slM/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UT3lu6OiYdk/U7O6htVBlNI/AAAAAAAAAe8/ZHlXrT48slM/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3.Fold this into thirds - remember it doesn't have to be perfectly perfect!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yhdj4KrVlNQ/U7O6hNZ72lI/AAAAAAAAAe0/sCbP-HjpteM/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yhdj4KrVlNQ/U7O6hNZ72lI/AAAAAAAAAe0/sCbP-HjpteM/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o_BbdOKdVZA/U7O6heRd2oI/AAAAAAAAAe4/3SDyNq7G16U/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o_BbdOKdVZA/U7O6heRd2oI/AAAAAAAAAe4/3SDyNq7G16U/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
4.For the sake of this tutorial I have drawn the petal line, but I would normally do this freehand. Cut this out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VwKR3JTGeg0/U7O_ICHr60I/AAAAAAAAAfY/VNJD2yWOy7U/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VwKR3JTGeg0/U7O_ICHr60I/AAAAAAAAAfY/VNJD2yWOy7U/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r1E1O_VwH7Y/U7O_H6Dt8HI/AAAAAAAAAfU/RrAXGvsONa4/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r1E1O_VwH7Y/U7O_H6Dt8HI/AAAAAAAAAfU/RrAXGvsONa4/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
5. Cut the point off.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7FAI2U8-Igk/U7O_Kct3C7I/AAAAAAAAAfo/rOtdD3MWlMk/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7FAI2U8-Igk/U7O_Kct3C7I/AAAAAAAAAfo/rOtdD3MWlMk/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
6. Open it up and it should look like this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bIg5rs3gIHY/U7O_rBfbH0I/AAAAAAAAAf0/KOrnWOYHOgI/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bIg5rs3gIHY/U7O_rBfbH0I/AAAAAAAAAf0/KOrnWOYHOgI/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Do this to all 4 circles.<br />
<br />
7. Curl your petals - I used a cocktail stick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yHweORFrqKM/U7O_rcEOQjI/AAAAAAAAAgE/jxF0iKVQmdU/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yHweORFrqKM/U7O_rcEOQjI/AAAAAAAAAgE/jxF0iKVQmdU/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
9. On one circle, cut one petal out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L93j0YEV03w/U7O_tM8ZMMI/AAAAAAAAAgU/d3yZEgra74Q/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L93j0YEV03w/U7O_tM8ZMMI/AAAAAAAAAgU/d3yZEgra74Q/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
10. On the second circle cut a section of two petals out. On the third, three petals out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CxwM0-kIDJg/U7O_tsODQOI/AAAAAAAAAgY/J5Ut91PF2VM/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CxwM0-kIDJg/U7O_tsODQOI/AAAAAAAAAgY/J5Ut91PF2VM/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P2xHcRFwvfM/U7PA7fYGXQI/AAAAAAAAAhs/CMTVn7rlow8/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P2xHcRFwvfM/U7PA7fYGXQI/AAAAAAAAAhs/CMTVn7rlow8/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
11. You should then have a full flower, a 5 petal piece, a four petal piece, 2x three petal pieces, a two petal piece and a one petal piece.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1Ybzo_RAqs/U7PA7yg3ssI/AAAAAAAAAh8/yn0Dmoag8Y8/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1Ybzo_RAqs/U7PA7yg3ssI/AAAAAAAAAh8/yn0Dmoag8Y8/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
12. You only need one of the three petal pieces, so the one you are discarding, cut one petal to use as your base and throw away the rest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OH8o72U0huI/U7PA7wMlFII/AAAAAAAAAiA/Lo7u_ewoA9w/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OH8o72U0huI/U7PA7wMlFII/AAAAAAAAAiA/Lo7u_ewoA9w/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
13. You now need to glue and seal your 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 petal pieces...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cVNvKw7PiR4/U7PA9p0dK6I/AAAAAAAAAiM/T22YWb97Iys/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cVNvKw7PiR4/U7PA9p0dK6I/AAAAAAAAAiM/T22YWb97Iys/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iT8Ode0eZT0/U7PA-NtiIlI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/5Ss6R82_paU/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iT8Ode0eZT0/U7PA-NtiIlI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/5Ss6R82_paU/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mmNrTHJOc84/U7PAcZg2HOI/AAAAAAAAAgw/KAwmcN6rSZk/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mmNrTHJOc84/U7PAcZg2HOI/AAAAAAAAAgw/KAwmcN6rSZk/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G2pWcq5oF_4/U7PAbu6vV_I/AAAAAAAAAgo/bfVa6m6ST7Q/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G2pWcq5oF_4/U7PAbu6vV_I/AAAAAAAAAgo/bfVa6m6ST7Q/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
14. Put your glue gun on to warm up NOW :-)<br />
<br />
15. Put some glue on your base petal and fix your full flower to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kwXTNpGFiug/U7PAdfqZsOI/AAAAAAAAAg4/XkjHpKFU9xs/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kwXTNpGFiug/U7PAdfqZsOI/AAAAAAAAAg4/XkjHpKFU9xs/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DC8IW_o4rK4/U7PAeFkF6bI/AAAAAAAAAhA/qBguMN3uFJA/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DC8IW_o4rK4/U7PAeFkF6bI/AAAAAAAAAhA/qBguMN3uFJA/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
16. Now add some glue from your glue gun and place your 5 petal piece on top. Remember your petals should ideally be between the layer below, not in line. You'll have to be quick getting the placement right with glue gun glue as it goes off so quickly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dMNOZPjXW-A/U7PAyTqg4YI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/GT-N3yfRnKQ/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dMNOZPjXW-A/U7PAyTqg4YI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/GT-N3yfRnKQ/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bIMRx_DY9dM/U7PAyTJOtvI/AAAAAAAAAhY/CeanzKqZcyg/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bIMRx_DY9dM/U7PAyTJOtvI/AAAAAAAAAhY/CeanzKqZcyg/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
17. Using your glue gun, continue adding your layers, the next one is the 4 piece, then 3 piece, 2,1...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QZBdePq2Q0A/U7PAybvGw8I/AAAAAAAAAhU/uQRJPUZZ8zg/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QZBdePq2Q0A/U7PAybvGw8I/AAAAAAAAAhU/uQRJPUZZ8zg/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DI_ZwTA7Fu8/U7PA0E5IxZI/AAAAAAAAAhk/-eX6b4rLSns/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DI_ZwTA7Fu8/U7PA0E5IxZI/AAAAAAAAAhk/-eX6b4rLSns/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
18. When you've put all your layers in, remove any strings of glue that are showing. Play around with the curls if you're not happy.<br />
<br />
Your finished Product...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8inQzHT8e4/U7PA0drKlZI/AAAAAAAAAho/q6UE8ir3uek/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8inQzHT8e4/U7PA0drKlZI/AAAAAAAAAho/q6UE8ir3uek/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Yesterday, I delivered my card box to the post office, first time my cards have ever been in a shop. It was really lovely to see the box on the counter, I felt such a sense of achievement.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X-gy6om79Pg/U7Kfs37dpAI/AAAAAAAAAdw/tYSxWL11kZc/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X-gy6om79Pg/U7Kfs37dpAI/AAAAAAAAAdw/tYSxWL11kZc/s1600/photo.JPG" height="239" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This morning, I decided I spend an absolute fortune on embellishments for my papercrafts and need to come up with ways of cutting my costs a bit. I'd also like to be able to make and sell my own embellishments. So I sat down with some paper and glue this morning. After watching numerous flower videos on youtube, I came up with my own way of doing them.<br />
<br />
What do you think?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RsanCOffgrU/U7KgR46z1pI/AAAAAAAAAd4/9ucZZ7KJBg0/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RsanCOffgrU/U7KgR46z1pI/AAAAAAAAAd4/9ucZZ7KJBg0/s1600/photo.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
I've had some much positive feedback on these on facebook and many people have asked me to a tutorial on how I made them, so I guess I'll be getting on with that later :-)<br />
<br />
That's all for now folks.<br />
<br />

<br />
I've seen this template used a lot recently where you have what looks like blocks forming a fold up card. My dilemma was that it only ever showed it as 3 blocks high and I wondered if it could be adapted to be any size. So yesterday I sat down with my drawing pad and worked it out. I wanted to do something different for Brother-in-Laws Birthday card: 30 this year, business trainer by day, DJ by night and a thrill seeker at other times!<br />
<br />
This is what I came up with...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Front<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cqBTMMdFl_I/U65tHpDXG9I/AAAAAAAAAdU/pRFqLJSUT_0/s1600/Aaron+30+card.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cqBTMMdFl_I/U65tHpDXG9I/AAAAAAAAAdU/pRFqLJSUT_0/s1600/Aaron+30+card.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Back<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GXQZmGTOSic/U65tHyreoqI/AAAAAAAAAdg/xuJR3JA9QbA/s1600/aaron+30+card+back.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GXQZmGTOSic/U65tHyreoqI/AAAAAAAAAdg/xuJR3JA9QbA/s1600/aaron+30+card+back.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That's all for now</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JdhWPTzf4BM/Ts_1EoR_P0I/AAAAAAAAAD0/xWROkbrEuSo/s1600/kath+for+blog.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JdhWPTzf4BM/Ts_1EoR_P0I/AAAAAAAAAD0/xWROkbrEuSo/s1600/kath+for+blog.jpg" /></a></div>

<br />
Yes it's early...thank you Elliot for waking me at 5am this morning. We are now camped out downstairs waiting for Daddy and Sophie to wake and a normal Friday to kick in.<br />
<br />
Although after yesterday I am now beginning to see what a normal day will be like....and it's quite exciting. After the positive sale table at Little Mouslings on Wednesday and all the feedback and suggestions that came with it, I sat down to dabble with a Thank You Teacher Box Card. This is what I came up with.<br />

<br />
I was so pleased with it, I posted it on Facebook...I've already received some requests and hopefully more to come as again there has been some very positive feedback on this, especially as it can be personalised to include teachers names and messages on the stars.<br />
<br />
So yesterday, while Sophie played out in the sunshine and Elliot played inside on his mat, between naps, lunch, phone calls and coffee, I had a very productive day making and taking orders and watching my online presence grow. It was great. Here's to more of that.<br />

<br />
So after struggling with Pollen for most of the week, I finally managed to get myself together and organised for my meeting today with my lovely shop manager lady who took an interest in my cards....and she said YES.<br />
<br />
I took a pack of samples for her to show her Area Manager, some text about me and my crafting and a suggested pricing structure. She was so impressed she said yes there and then. It included this morning's make, an Easel Card with one of my recent purchases Santoro's Gorjuss stamp (I love this girl) ...<br />

<br />
The shop assistant who was there today loved them too and ordered one for her friends Birthday next week. <br />
<br />
So, from next month, there will be a box of mixed cards of mine in our local post office, to be topped up weekly or as required. Furthermore, there are two other post offices who I have been given the details of to approach to do the same thing, but I'm going to see how this one goes for the first month.<br />
<br />
All I can say is I'm very happy :-)<br />
